Dr. Bonny Ibhawoh, teaches in the Arts & Science Program (ARTSSCI 1C06 / Inquiry: Global Challenges), the Department of History, the Institute on Globalization, and the Centre for Peace Studies, where he was previously the Director. His research interests include international human rights, legal history, and peace and conflict studies. He has taught in universities in Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States. He also has extensive experience working with international research and policy think tanks. Dr. Ibhawoh was previously a human rights fellow at the Carnegie Council for Ethics and International Affairs, New York; a research fellow at the Danish Institute for Human Rights, Copenhagen; and associate member of the Centre for African Studies, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. As a believer in the value and utility of public scholarship, Dr. Ibhawoh strives to disseminate his research findings on human rights and peace/conflict studies beyond the academic community through monographs and journal publications but also through policy papers, project reports, documentary films and media.
